It dawned on me early this morning that God has been a gift giver to me and through me.  All Christians must know the greatest gift of His Son Jesus Christ but we tend to leave it at that. From time to time Christians see healing done in a miraculous manner and that healing prayer is "a process of doing the right things by prayer and supplication" and its up to God whether it happens or not. Looking back however I see generous gifts freely coming to me for others - a present to open, a new heart sweeping past me into a person and spiritual gifts bestowed on others. God has been a generous benevolent Father through Jesus Christ His Son who said He would live in us with the Father. Inside of us, those who have welcomed the Godhead into our lives, is the similitude of that same Godhead, thinking thoughts of life giving deeds as the Father thinks, loving these generous thoughts as our Jesus did and doing these mighty deeds as Holy Spirit did. Put yourself in this position… You have just heard that there’s a new sport introduced to the Olympic Games to be held in three months from now and you have been selected to represent your nation if you wish and you have nothing else to do so you say okay let’s do this - it’ll be a hoot. You find yourself loading gear and trucking it to a swimming pool where some of your friends are also being gathered to train for the event so you unload and find equipment and among it all is your pair of crystal clear banana shaped floats on which you recognize as ski boots. At the swimming pool complex coaches have been arriving and some of the other chosen contestants are already in the pool trying out their equipment for their chosen new event so you unpack your gear and put on the curved floating skis and take to the pool for the first time. It has been the tradition for a personal healing that church members spoke with the individual and asked what they want prayer for, then prayed Christ would heal the complaint. This is of course in line with the statement of Jesus that whatever we ask in His name the Father will so give us and a prayer is therefore signed "In Jesus name." This prayer is in hope of invoking the power of  Christ to achieve Godly miracles as in New Testament times and if it didn't work it was not God's will. Compared with Christ's testimony of 100% healing we find a comparatively poor rate of healing in most churches today and the thought is there something astray. A salt shaker above my head appeared this morning in church during praise and then during worship it reappeared. I had a similar vision of a pinch of salt in India at a pastors home so asked for some and with my fingers sprinkled some salt. This was not so much about taste as I was getting understanding of the preserving quality of salt in killing bugs and keeping meat from spoiling without refrigeration. Jesus Christ said of his disciples "You are salt of the earth if it loses its flavor who can restore it." The understanding of Jesus' words was the about saving power of faith in a world being dominated by the destructive works of Satan. The bullets of the enemy are lies, the skirmishes are confusion and the battles are imaginations because if the enemy came bring us into doubt he will bring us down out of eternity deny us the joy of eternity with Christ in heavenly realms. "Unless you people see miracles you will not believe." These words Jesus said to a government official whose son was dying of a fever. Because he could only say what he heard the Father say then rebounded this command, "Go your way for your son lives." The man went and discovered the word was true and the fever had left his son. This miracle brought a whole household to believe and live with Jesus in health and happiness. The miracle was not so much a healing as a deliverance which also delivered all who saw it happen. For the unbelievers whether churched or unchurched to change their belief and view of God miracles of one type or another are essential deliverance. Miracles are to God perfectly normal everyday occurrences, it's just what He does. All God needs is a repeater of His truth. This place of believing is what is called faith.
