The Enemy Sword

A subject quickened in my spirit this morning concerns the sword of of the Spirit and the sword of Goliath which anointed to be king David 'recovered from a priest' because the "kings business required haste." 1 Samuel 21:8-9. This sword 'like no other' had taken off the head previously issuing the 'words of the enemy which held all Israel in fear.' The weapon was wrapped up behind the "priestly" Ephod. Much of Christianity is held down by fear as a result of the enemy's assault of spiritual in the head words much like Israel at that valley which belonged to Judah of Sochoh (possible meaning: place of Tabernacles).

Our Lord faced a very well reasoned attack following His 40 days in the wilderness from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil yet he thwarted Satan from the Tree of Life with three saying; "It is written - man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that precedes from the mouth of God - you shall not tempt the Lord your God," and "Away with you...You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve." Then the Devil left Him and 'Angels' came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4

We are the tabernacles of the Lord Jesus; His Spirit occupies our tent. Satan cannot therefore occupy our tent so he attempts from outside to weaken us with fruit from the Tree of Evil while we are at once occupied by the Tree of Good. He is attempting to instill fear which would make us effectively squash the works of the Lord. We should know that these attacks come because something priestly is about to happen by the voice of God and slaying with the sword "Away with you!" at which stage we not only defeat the fear but there come 'Angels' ministering to bring about the creative.

In conclusion we see God's work "requires haste." The enemy's sword like no other is wrapped up hidden in "priestly garments." The word of evil is from outside the tabernacle prompts fear to oppose the word of life inside. In recognizing the attack and casting out the evil contradiction we the priest lose opposition and win a company of angels to help the word of life do bring to fruition the King's business. Amen
