Two Visions Reveal Truth 22-28/04/18

Put yourself in this position…

You have just heard that there’s a new sport introduced to the Olympic Games to be held in three months from now and you have been selected to represent your nation if you wish and you have nothing else to do so you say okay let’s do this - it’ll be a hoot.

You find yourself loading gear and trucking it to a swimming pool where some of your friends are also being gathered to train for the event so you unload and find equipment and among it all is your pair of crystal clear banana shaped floats on which you recognize as ski boots.

At the swimming pool complex coaches have been arriving and some of the other chosen contestants are already in the pool trying out their equipment for their chosen new event so you unpack your gear and put on the curved floating skis and take to the pool for the first time.

To your amazement you find these float devices can support your weight perfectly for a brief moment before they slowly sink below the surface so that you can’t stand on them for long and must keep transferring your weight from one leg to the other to maintain buoyancy.

The coach comes over and informs you of the rules of the event that its four lengths of the pool and the target is not to be first to finish but rather it’s complicated with the most recoveries of sinking contestants that wins the event so there’s stamina and a quick eye required to score highly.

Coach says you only have three months to do the best you can for your people and you may just win a medal to hang in your trophy cabinet - the event of course is named walking-on-water-saving-as-you-aught-a so right now he says you’re in training.

Now you had been in troubles and found yourself in irons for the last while as part of a chain gang working under guard in the fields and lifting those heavy shackles have been a constant strain on your legs for some years until the day you realized the shackles were not in fact actually locked.

The scars of the chain gang captivity weighed heavily but the day that you shucked them off was like you could have floated to heaven in comparison and your legs had been developed impressively by the daily strain now perfectly suited to this new footwear and you are fit to compete.

So it is that you trained to be a water walker and developed talents to uplift others and competed well in this test of strength and endurance and you won the prize you would hold into eternity walking a mile the shoes of the man from Galilee.
