Power of a New Song

A few days ago I wrote a new song as I played a new sound on my guitar. It was as if there were words specially suited to the sound I was hearing. A new song is a theme of those who come close to heaven and stringed instruments are a key to worshiping with God. David writes I will sing a new song to You O God, On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You (Ps 144:9). David is a player of the stringed instrument which was able to pacify the troubled and murderous spirit of King Saul and the sounds of the strings. The shepherd boy King discovered he held the key to intimacy with Christ millennia before Jesus came pay for our sins and release the Holy Spirit to fill that void the door of forgiveness had opened.
The first new song came one Sunday afternoon when I wanted to give the Father some special time and went like this;
I thank you Father for making me unique
from creation in my mothers womb
through youth and teenage years Father
Your signature marks every step
Then there was one which seemed to be inviting heaven to make a difference which went;
Blow Spirit blow,
blow upon this land,
blow ye winds of tempest toss,
Spirit of God revealed.
We have had songs which made people cry like the one about the waste of human potential that went;
How many rose buds never get to bloom
How many new born leaves fall all too soon
How much talent goes wasted in this world
Just because no one took the time or cared
This last new song though seems to speak from the Father towards his children and goes like this;
Heaven is My throne and the Earth is My footstool
You don’t know who you are if you don’t know Me
There’s power in the heavens stored up for you
There’s wonders in the earth waiting for you
There’s life in eternal realms
There’s love when you are Spirit bound
There’s power in the heavens stored up for you
This song talks about the growing movement which holds that Jesus is the model for us in every way to follow. In essence this new song pictures us as God's feet on earth if we can be people who in fact stand in the gap, touched by both sides as Jesus did between heaven and earth. We have seen grown men and women reduced to tears with stringed instruments and a new song. The power of the strings together with the power of ideas is a mighty key to opening the Jesus door in this world.
